Networks
Much of this work happens through networks that coordinate across states.
A nationwide umbrella network working to identify, liberate and rehabilitate forced labourers and bonded labourers, including child bonded labourers, and to provide legal aid to victims. Operating across 19 states, it has identified and liberated 25,000 forced and bonded labourers, approximately 95% of whom are from SC/ST and minority communities.
A network of more than 150 provincial and local organisations of informal workers, founded in 2013. It focuses on capacity building and on advocating for informal workers’ rights regarding wages, industrial relations and social security.
